Holly Willoughby has apologised to viewers of ITV show ‘Dancing On Ice’ after viewers believed that the host had sworn during the opening segment of Sunday’s episode.
Willoughby was startled and appeared to swear when co-host Stephen Mulhern jokingly screamed in her direction, and viewers took to social media to joke about Holly accidentally aiming a four-letter word at her co-host.
Mulhern’s joke was due to the evening’s movie-based theme, which involved Emmerdale star Roxy Shahidi and partner Sylvain performing as characters from the horror comedy film ‘Beetlejuice’.

However, after a few celebrities had taken to the ice, Willoughby sought to clarify the situation.
Blaming Mulhern, Holly said: “A little bit earlier on, Stephen may have made me jump and I think it might have sounded like a naughty word slipped out” Holly continued: “I don’t think I did but I’m sorry if that’s what you thought you might have heard, but I don’t think I did.”
Holly, 42, continues to host ‘Dancing On Ice’ despite leaving her role with popular daytime show ‘This Morning’ in October. The presenter has been hosting ITV’s skating series since 2006. Co-host Stephen Mulhern joined the show following the departure of Philip Schofield from ITV in 2023.
As for whether Holly let a naughty word slip out live on air, you can be the judge of that.
