Andrews UK and Kids Active Media have formed The Smart Magazine Company. The partnership of the two media companies was announced on March 5th 2024.
The Smart Magazine Company will launch new titles throughout 2024 and 2025, which will expand its current reach. The company’s first creation, POPIN Magazine, has already reached thousands of children, parents, and teachers since its launch and continues to grow month-over-month. A sustainable magazine that eschews popular retail covermounts and single-use plastics, this is something that will continue through to The Smart Magazine Company’s other titles.
“You won’t find our products basking in the sun-beamed seas,” says KAM Limited CEO Justine Maynard. She continues: “We won’t be a part of upselling plastic tat to children and if we can contribute a fraction of help to reducing the use of plastic production that’s contributing to global climate change, my generation may just see a better future for our kids.“
The Smart Magazine Company will leverage Andrews UK’s existing infrastructure as a modern multimedia company with an extensive global reach. Andrews UK CEO Paul Andrews says: “AUK is looking to the future — a cross-platform, multimedia future, in which our expanded profile allows AUK to be able to adapt, grow and evolve as the markets rapidly change over the coming years.”
