After impressing us with its mid-range FiiO M11S portable digital audio player; The Chinese audio firm Fiio is back with a new on-the-go device. The New M15S portable player comes packed with two desktop-grade ES9038PRO digital-to-analogue converters, with individual DAC chips dedicated to the left and right stereo.

Each chip makes use of four D/A converters for what the company claim to be high-quality decoding, with the device able to playback audio files up to 384KhZ. Not only this, but there’s also onboard 2.5GHz/5GHz Wi-Fi allowing for support of streaming.

Weighing 345g, the device runs on Android 10 and allows for lossless access to Tidal, Qobuz and Apple Music. It has outputs for a regular 3.5mm headphone jack, a 2.5mm and 4.4mm balanced headphone outputs. 5.5-inch multi-touch HD display with 64BG of onboard storage that can be extended to a 2TB of extra storage is also part of this new device.

The FiiO M15S is available now to order from their website for $999/£979/AU$1,599.

We’re looking forward to see this evolves and matches up to the current MP3 players out there.
