God of War Ragnarök Releasing on 9th November

With November not far away, we’re looking at the release of God of War Ragnarök¸ to see us through the Winter. The sequel to Santa Monica Studios’ critically acclaimed God of War (2018) will be another epic adventure as we are reunited with Kratos and Atreus. With a change in temperature and Fimbulwinter upon them, the two are on a journey seeking answers and knowledge. Kratos is not just battling new monsters, but himself, stuck between the past and wanting to be free of his mistakes. The pair are on a mission all while Ragnarök looms ever closer.

Along with Kratos, the Leviathan Axe, Blades of Chaos and the Guardian Shield return to unleash more destruction against gods and monsters all across the Nine Realms aided by new abilities for Atreus and Kratos.

“Staying true to what we did last time, it’s keeping the father-son relationship moving,”

With the previous God of War director Cory Barlog, not reprising his role and Eric Willaims taking the helm this time round, he’s no noob to the franchise. He’s been with the series since 2004. In an interview about the new role he stated that

“It just doesn’t stop, like ‘oh, we finished this for mum, we’re good.’ No there’s a lot more that goes on in life and it continues moving forward.”

“Last time, it was one kid with a lot of adults talking. This is like, well, there are some different perspectives. We’re going to see it from a kid’s perspective in the world, figuring things out that they thought were black and white, or maybe much more grey, and a lot more family dynamics.”

So if, like us, you are itching to be reunited again with Kratos, let the countdown begin until the 9th November.
