Known to fans as Doctor Who’s Bellboy (reprising his role in ‘Children of the Circus’) Return to Treasure Island’s Jim Hawkins, and Frodo in the classic animated The Lord of The Rings movie (released in 1978), actor and musician Christopher Guard has lived a life. Guard has chosen to document parts of that life in ‘And Then It Was Now’ — available now in paperback, hardback, and eBook.
By his own admission, Christopher Guard has lived an interesting life, and one that has placed him in some rather unique situations. ‘And Then It Was Now’ covers how Chris found himself in Elizabeth Taylor’s bedroom, out on a “wasted weekend” with Hugh Grant in Barcelona, and even playing table football with Sir Elton John. These wild moments are contrasted with stories of home, of his dog, and getting his start as a working actor.
Famous names such as the legendary Brian Blessed OBE have heaped praise on the book, saying: “I urge you to devour this book…”. Whilst musician and actor Toyah Willcox says: “His CV is a Who’s Who of icons. He is funny, sharp, talented, and has that air of the Golden age of Hollywood about him”.
Yet, despite the trappings of fame and glamour, the book promises a feel of stories being told to you by an old friend. ‘And Then It Was Now’ by Christopher Guard is available now in paperback, hardback, and eBook. Published by Oak Tree Books.
